GOT ANY QUESTIONS?
Here are some of my most asked questions. Get in touch if you have any other questions!
-
PR is the art of shaping how the public sees your charity. It ensures people know your name, understand your mission, and feel inspired to engage. At its core, PR builds trust—through consistent messaging, media coverage, events, thought leadership, and community engagement.
-
Strategic public relations builds credibility and trust — the foundation for people to use your services, support your campaigns, and crucially, donate or fundraise.
Sometimes charities need to focus their PR on raising the profile of their.
For example, if you are a smaller charity, you need people to know who you are and what you do and this can be done through a long-term PR plan.
Alternatively, you may already have a profile but need public relations to drive people towards supporting a specific campaign such as signing a petition to encourage a change in the law or taking part in a fundraising event.
-
Marketing is about driving action — getting people to sign up, donate, or attend an event — often through paid or owned channels like email, social media, or advertising. It’s measurable and controlled, but it can be costly and limited in reach.
PR, on the other hand, is about reputation. It’s the long game: building a positive public image through media coverage, events, and community engagement. It’s not guaranteed — you have to earn it and a PR professional can help you do that — but when done well, it’s incredibly powerful.
Ideally, marketing and PR work hand-in-hand to drive both visibility and action.

Absolutely! Happy former clients have included a UK wide choir, a tech company, an asset management company and wedding planner and I am proud to have raised their profile and driven customer interest.
So if you aren’t a charity but think you could benefit from my services please get in touch.
-
I work with clients to ensure any PR or communication campaign is integrated with other areas of communications including social media and that any content I create can be used in different communications formats.
I don’t currently provide a service to create and post social media content but may be able to recommend someone if that is something you need.
-
Every charity will have different starting points and budgets but I work with all my clients individually to agree what success looks like – and then work hard to deliver.
Public Relations isn’t just about securing coverage for clients (though of course I love to do that!) it’s about measuring how that has tangible impact, increased web traffic or customers, petition signatures, donations made and, in the long-term, increased brand recognition, opportunities and growth.
I provide both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
